A NEW PLACE TO DISCOVER…COMING LATE SUMMER 2021
In Spring of 2020, Discovery Lab will break ground on a new site on the south end of Gathering Place park at 31st Street and Riverside Drive.
The new 50,000 square-foot museum will include 20,000 square-feet of interactive exhibits and programming space. Included in this is The WorkShop, Science Lab, and Little Lab. Other amenities at the new site will include an Education Center, merchandise shop, café, amphitheater, and designated on-site parking.
The new Education Center within the museum is comprised of five 900 square-foot classrooms and will serve as the STEM Center for all of Tulsa Public Schools (pre-kindergarten through 6th grade). The Education Center will also have capacity to serve other regional districts for field-trips and museum classes.
Discovery Lab is expected to open its doors at its new home in late summer of 2021.
All scheduled public and private programs and events on or before May 31 have been canceled due to the temporary closure of Discovery Lab.
We will assess additional program cancellations based off guidelines from officials.
We will give updates as events are back on the calendar.
