The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Director/CEO by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, managing executive calendars, arranging conference calls and scheduling meetings. The Executive Assistant also works as the Governing Board liaison.
Development and Administrative Specialist
Discovery Lab seeks an energetic and organized professional to serve as Development and Administrative Specialist. This full-time position reports to the Director of Organizational Development and is an integral member of Discovery Lab’s back office fundraising administration. Specific responsibilities includes: donor and member database maintenance and reporting, administrative support for the Director of Organizational Development and Executive Director, administrative support for grants and fundraising events, support of the Board of Directors including preparation of meeting materials and minutes, and coordination of back office calendars, supplies and equipment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a pleasant, positive rapport are necessary for this position.
Events Specialist Marketing Associate
Discovery Lab seeks a self-motivated, outgoing, and organized Events specialist/Marketing Associate to assist our growing organization in delivering phenomenal events that build business relationships, generate excitement around the museum, and amplify brand awareness. This position is responsible for the seamless planning and execution of events within the museum—sometimes as a team member, but more often as the lead and project manager. Strong communication skills and a pleasant, positive rapport are necessary to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
The Museum Educator will teach playful, stimulating, and hands-on STEAM/Health & Wellness classes to children and families at Discovery Lab and in a variety of settings around the Tulsa area. The Museum Educator will teach others to be innovative, creative, critical thinkers, problem solvers, communicators, and collaborators.
The Exhibits Intern, in alignment with the internship learning goals, will complete a special project related to development, design, and/or fabrication of exhibits that will support and inform future projects for Discovery Lab.
Visitors Studies Intern
The Visitor Studies Intern, executes research, evaluation, and visitor studies to support and inform future projects for Discovery Lab.
